FPF Goals + Achievements: Summer Remodel — Jay St. John
Spring semester is over half-way done! This has been our most successful semester ever with more families, more kids, more growth and more maturity! Praise the Lord!
So–what’s next?
Summer! And summer is fast approaching.
This summer we are planning on doing some remodeling to our building to better serve the growing ministries and I wanted to share a few with you.
Warehouse: We had a new gym floor installed this last year but we need to separate the gym from the trades area with new walls, a couple bathrooms, classrooms and lots of storage.
Science and Arts (1st floor): We have been using this area as a multipurpose room until we knew how the rooms should be laid out. Our current setup has moveable cabinets dividing the rooms. This allows too much sound to travel between these classes. We will be building walls to enclose the classrooms.
Gymnasium: We love the new floor–now we need some division between the spaces. We have 25 foot high curtains that we are installing to divide the gym into simultaneous P.E. classrooms. These should also help reduce sound echoing that the gym is known for!
Auditorium: The auditorium is one of our most prized meeting spaces. It is an incredible gift from God to have theater seats and a large stage floor! We plan to install theater curtains to make the stage more versatile for the different presentations using it. We already have the curtains and hardware, we just need help putting them up!
Along with Summer Camps, these are some of the activities we are pursuing this summer. As you can imagine, building materials and manpower are not cheap! If you could help us with our remodel project fund please follow the link below. If you have experience in construction, sheet-rocking, finishing, painting, etc. please email info@fpfam to let us know and join the crew. We could use your help!
