FPF Goals + Achievements: Sowing with Purpose Towards a Bountiful Harvest
Summer at the Firmly Planted Homeschool Resource Center is a time of rest, reflection, planning, preparation and volunteerism. As we prepare for a new upcoming homeschool year at the Center, it's essential to encourage one another by reflecting on God’s provision and celebrating the effort and preparation that brought us here!
The phrase "you reap what you sow" beautifully captures God’s faithful provision that has allowed our team to work toward our goals and accomplishments in providing families with an opportunity to educate, nurture, and build community.
Our Resource Center is made up of our leadership team, staff, families, and volunteers. Together as a team we dedicate our time, energy, and passion to ensuring a successful start at the Resource Center each year. Our goal is to help encourage our homeschooling families as we embark on another year of faithfully following what we’ve been called to do in educating and equipping our families.
The hard work began long before the first day of the fall semester.
The Firmly Planted leadership team and staff begin summer project discussions in spring– spending hours prioritizing projects, organizing resources, planning programs and deep cleaning days, mentoring new and returning homeschool parents, administrative work, along with setting up classrooms and family spaces to ensure a smooth start for everyone.
This preparation isn't just an incredible achievement; it’s a testament to our commitment in trusting God’s provision, His protection over our families, and His grace that helps us endure long days. It’s a beautiful example of His steadfast love and provision to see His plan unveil the best possible environment for homeschooling families to strive and thrive.
This is a harvest that reflects His will through weeks of thoughtful planning, collaboration, and teamwork.
Summer is also a time where parents have been sowing seeds of effort at home.
Homeschooling requires time, patience, and careful planning. Parents have been organizing the completed lessons from the previous year, organizing records, updating high school transcripts, gathering materials, preparing lesson plans, and preparing their homes for the upcoming school year.
These efforts are not just practical preparations but profound accomplishments. Each moment spent preparing is a step toward trusting the Lord’s calling in their life with homeschooling and nurturing their children's academic growth, while also sowing seeds in the Firmly Planted community where their family can grow.
Homeschooling parents are consistently sowing into their children’s lives.
Every lesson taught, every question answered, and every skill developed is a prayerful seed planted toward a fruitful future. The harvest may not always be immediate, but we faithfully move forward trusting the consistent investment in our children will bear fruit in their lives—academically, emotionally, and spiritually.
For many parents, these seeds represent both their accomplishments along the way and their long-term goals of raising knowledgeable, confident, and well-rounded individuals.
As the new homeschooling year begins, we have much to celebrate and be thankful for. Our summer harvest consisted of accomplishing big goals, tending to daily tasks, and planning ongoing efforts.
Our harvest is an ongoing reflection of our steadfast and faithful God. Every seed we sow at the Firmly Planted Homeschool Resource Center is done with the intent to nurture and grow the hearts and minds of our children, team, students, and community as we work together to provide remarkable opportunities and outcomes for the future.
So let’s continue to prayerfully sow where God leads us with purpose, knowing the harvest will be worth the investment and the effort!
If you would like to partner with us and sow into what God is doing at Firmly Planted Family, you can give right here.
